Happy Birthday Megan!

We celebrated Megan's birthday last Tuesday night with pizza, pasta & presents with family. The top gifts were earrings, a new book "Twilight" (which went over very well!!) , clothes including a Ozzy shirt which she went crazy over and a mirror that I made.

The better party in her book tho was Saturday night when we hosted a party for 5 of her friends! Our home became a complete mad house...girls running from room to room, phones, movies, hair dye....it was CRAZY! They had an excellent time I think!

I knew Sept. would be a crazy month for posting on the blog, but I didn't think it would be this bad. I have had something everyday it seems like! So to make up for lost time here's several recent projects to get your creativity going!

Megan's 14th B-day Card
Materials: Pink textured card stock, Hobby Lobby; brown dot paper, Rusty Pickle; white cardstock, Office Depot; "Celebrate" stamp, Close to my Heart; Prisma glitter, Close to my Heart; Flourish stamp, Autumn Leaves; Brown ribbon, Hobby Lobby; Butterfly, cricut and then used swiss dots from Cuttlebug.

Meg's Mirror

All materials from Hobby Lobby except mirror from Wal-Mart. Bling, Prima Marketing; charms, black ribbon, glass vials.

This picture does not do this mirror justice. I wanted it to be glitzy, beautiful and still remain vintage looking. All the charms are things that Megan likes. She loved it and that's what it's all about!

First time fishing...............

We decided to take a picnic lunch to the park this weekend. We didn't know 30% chance of rain meant rain off and on all day! It was still fun though. We had lunch under a shelter house, played on the playground when it stopped raining, fed the buffalo and let Addie try her hand at fishing. We had a lovely quiet day.

Last year at this time I was making "Save the Date" cards for my friends' son's wedding. Well the wedding happened yesterday and hopefully everything went well, she's supposed to call me Monday with all the details. Until then, Congrats Misty and Michael may you share a long happy life together!

One of my mom's longtime friends Mildred frequently orders things from me and I really enjoy making things for her. She is a really special person in my book. So when she ordered a special card for her sisters 75th Birthday, I wanted it to be extra special. This is the card with envelope.Mildred loved it, and that's what I wanted.

Happy Birthday Beverly!
